Meet the faces of Think Canine

Our Trainers...

Katrina Diem
Head Trainer & Behaviour Consultant

Katrina is Think Canine's owner and Head Trainer. As an Accredited Dog Trainer, Katrina brings extensive knowledge of canine learning theory and conducts her reward based training on scientifically proven methods.

Her passions are in puppy development, as investing in early training can help prevent or reduce a myriad of later behavioural problems, owner education, and helping fearful and timid dogs build confidence in the world around them.

Katrina is also a qualified Veterinary Nurse with over 18 years experience in Brisbane and Toowoomba, with a focus on general practice and emergency nursing. With this combined knowledge and experience in dog training, behaviour and healthcare, she offers you and your dog a unique training service.

Eleanor (Ellie) McAlpine
Trainer & Behaviour Consultant

Ellie has been a dog lover and owner for as long as she can remember. Her career in dog training started with volunteer work for Think Canine, leading to completing her Certificate III in Dog Training and Behaviour in 2018. Ellie has been an official part of the Think Canine team since 2019. Her studies and experience, along with her natural affinity with dogs, makes her a highly skilled and knowledgeable trainer.

Ellie's particular interests are in high energy working breed dogs, obedience training and puppy development. Ellie strongly believe that training should be fun for both the dog and the owner, rather than something seen as a daily chore.

When not working with our lovely clients and their dogs, Ellie is busy with her "zoo" at home, consisting of dogs Eko and Dash, guinea pigs, chickens, horse, miniature horse, budgies and a cockatoo.
