Benefits of Private Puppy Training
1. Personalised Training
Tailored Approach: In-home training allows for a customized plan that fits your puppy's unique needs, personality, and behavior.
Address Specific Behaviour Issues: Trainers can address specific challenges such as issues with toilet training, barking, biting, separation anxiety or socialisation, in the environments they are occuring.
2. Comfortable Environment
Less Stress: Puppies may feel more at ease in their familiar surroundings, leading to better learning and less anxiety compared to being in a new, unfamiliar setting.
Safe Space: In-home training provides a low-stress environment where both you and the puppy can focus without the distractions of other dogs or loud noises that might be present in a group class.
3. Focus on Family Dynamics
Involvement of All Family Members: Everyone in the household can participate, ensuring consistency and helping puppies learn how to respond to different people.
Behavior Modification in Context: Trainers can observe the interactions between the puppy and family members, offering insights into how to improve behavior based on real-life situations.
4. Long-Term Success
Consistency: One of the most important aspects of training is consistency. With in-home training, the trainer works closely with the owner to ensure that the right commands and actions are reinforced daily.
Ongoing Support: Our Puppy Training Programs offer follow-up visits and support, ensuring that the puppy’s progress continues and to help maintain your motivation.
How it works
We start with an initial 2 hour In-home Private Puppy Lesson. Much of this lesson is “owner-training”, as we teach you how to create a relationship with your puppy where they trust and respect you, as well as address your puppy’s specific behaviour issues, such as jumping up, biting, over-excitement, toilet training, crate training or how to socialise your puppy correctly. Every owner and puppy’s needs are different, so what we cover in this lesson, and how many practical, hands on training activities we can fit in, will differ from puppy to puppy.
Investment: $325 (includes training handouts & online videos as required, Puppy Behaviour Ebook and Socialisation Guide)
Age Requirement: Available only for puppies between 8-18 weeks of age
If you decide to continue your puppy’s development with us, we have a range of ongoing training options:
Follow Up Private Lessons (see below)- 1 hour or 45 minute lessons with a trainer in your home or a local park
