About Us

We are passionate about empowering owners with a better understanding of their dog’s behaviour, teaching them the skills to modify or resolve behavioural problems, as well as build reliable obedience, engagement and focus. We take great pride and joy in witnessing the positive changes taking place during and after our training sessions. Observing dogs as they learn to respect and trust their owners, while gaining self confidence, is one of the most rewarding parts of our work.

All of our Trainers are Nationally Accredited Dog Trainers through the National Dog Trainers Foundation of Australia, having completed Cert III in Dog Training & Behaviour. In our commitment to  ongoing education, we also regularly attend training workshops that feature renowned trainers and behaviourists from around Australia and the world, including Michael Ellis, Tyler Muto, Larry Krohn and Pat Stuart.

Nadine

Trainer

Growing up in Germany with a mother heavily involved in dog protection sports, Nadine has always been around dogs and the dog training world, but never really entered it.

After moving to Australia in her early twenties and living in WA for a few years working on stations, Nadine felt it was time for a career change. Always having had an interest in dog training and behaviour, she decided to make the leap.

In 2019, Nadine gained her Certificate III in Dog Training and Behaviour and has since been a valuable trainer at our weekend obedience classes.

Nadine loves helping people with their canine friends and ensuring that both dog and human have a good start to their relationship or helping solve any issues that might arise. While pursuing her hobby, Nadine works full-time at a produce store and cares for her 5 dogs, 6 cats, and 1 bird with her partner on their small farm.

Ellie

Trainer (currently on maternity leave)

Ellie has been a dog lover and owner for as long as she can remember. Her career in dog training started with volunteer work for Think Canine, leading to completing her Certificate III in Dog Training and Behaviour in 2018. Ellie has been an official part of the Think Canine team since 2019. Her studies and experience, along with her natural affinity with dogs, makes her a highly skilled and knowledgeable trainer.

Ellie's particular interests are in high energy working breed dogs, obedience training and puppy development. Ellie strongly believe that training should be fun for both the dog and the owner, rather than something seen as a daily chore.

When not working with our lovely clients and their dogs, Ellie is busy with her "zoo" at home, consisting of dogs Eko and Dash, guinea pigs, chickens, horse, miniature horse, budgies, a cockatoo and a one winged galah.
